Information For Librarians

We encourage research librarians to list The International Journal of Language Studies (IJLS; ISSN 3078-2244) among their library's electronic journal holdings and to make it visible in discovery services and subject guides for linguistics, applied linguistics, and language education.

Why list IJLS

  • No cost, no barriers — IJLS is fully open access. There is no subscription fee, licensing agreement, or paywall of any kind; every article is free to read, download, and redistribute under a CC BY 4.0 license.
  • Persistent and citable — every article is assigned a Crossref DOI (prefix 10.60087) and remains permanently available on the journal's platform.
  • Regular, predictable output — IJLS publishes quarterly (15 March, 15 June, 15 September, 15 December), with continuous submissions accepted year-round.

It may also be worth noting that this journal's open-source publishing platform, Open Journal Systems (OJS), is suitable for libraries to host on behalf of faculty members editing their own journals.
