The International Journal of Language Studies (IJLS; ISSN 3078-2244) is committed to maximum discoverability of its content. All articles receive a Crossref DOI, carry complete bibliographic metadata, and are published open access under a CC BY 4.0 license.

Indexed and registered in

  • Crossref — every article is assigned a persistent DOI (prefix 10.60087) with registered bibliographic metadata; content is also checked through Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate).
  • ISSN Portal — the journal is registered with the ISSN International Centre under ISSN 3078-2244 (online).
  • OpenAlex — the journal and its articles are indexed as a source in OpenAlex, the open scholarly knowledge graph used by many discovery and analytics services.
  • Google Scholar — every article page carries full Google Scholar–compatible citation metadata (Highwire tags), making articles discoverable and citable through Google Scholar.

Interoperability and open infrastructure

  • OAI-PMH — the journal exposes a standard harvesting interface at https://ijlangstudies.org/index.php/home/oai, allowing aggregators, libraries, and repositories to harvest metadata automatically.
  • Dublin Core metadata — standard machine-readable metadata is embedded in every article page.
  • Open license — all content is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted reuse with attribution and enabling legal aggregation by any indexing service.

In line with its development roadmap, the journal is preparing or pursuing applications to the following services. They are listed here for transparency only — IJLS does not claim inclusion until an application has been formally accepted:

  • DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
  • ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences)
  • MLA International Bibliography and LLBA (Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts)
  • EBSCO discovery and database products
  • Scopus and Web of Science (ESCI) — planned once the journal meets the required publication-history criteria
